Just a few years after Disney had a hit with "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," director Irwin Allen was ready to show off his own take on high-action submarine fiction with "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea." The effects spectacular with an all-star cast was released on July 12, 1961.
